Race 2 Manor Farm Results

Here are the results from yesterday’s race. Many thanks to Netley, Stubbington and Hamwic for organising a great race. I particularly enjoyed the loop round the farm with the smell of manure !

https://cc6.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Race-2-Results-3.xlsx

There was an issue with the women’s numbers which meant that numbers 14-20 were not issued. I have adjusted the results so that all women after place 13 have their finishing position adjusted.

Manor Farm Race instructions

Netley Abbey, Hamwick and Stubbington look forward to welcoming you all to race two in this year’s CC6 calendar to be held at Manor Farm Country park on 14th November 2021.

The route is broadly new, with a few sections that you may recognise from previous races.  We have a nice twist on the route, that we hope you’ll enjoy.  Make sure to watch out for the wildlife and the manure pile….

The route itself is broadly firm under foot and is a made up of compacted gravel, with some mud/earth thrown in for good measure.  There are a couple of technical sections that involve steps, wet wood, and climbs.  The tracks we are using doo get narrow at times, except for a small set of posts halfway around, you can still get 3 + abreast at the narrowest points.  There is some earthworks on the route, but this will be marshalled and marked with hazard tape accordingly.  A shoe choice of Hybrid/light trails will be sufficient for the route.  As always, the park is open to the public and we do not have exclusive use.  Therefore, please be aware of the potential for non-runners on the paths we are using.  The route will be well marshalled, with all turns being manned and tape will be used to mark the way in-between marshal points.

Parking will be either in the main Barnfields carpark or at the smaller car park at Manor farm itself.  All carparks will be marshalled accordingly.  The car parking spaces opposite the farm need to be kept free and will be marshalled/taped off accordingly.  As always, please car share where possible to reduce the number of vehicles.  The start is a 5-10 minute walk from both car parks.  To get to the start, please use the What3Words app.  The coordinates are:

acoustics.civil.goggles

Water will be available at the finish, but please bring your own cups.  With the ongoing Covid-19 situation, it would be advisable to bring your own drinks where possible.  As Covid-19 is still present in the population, it is recommended that masks are carried and worn in bunched up areas.  Please respect social distancing.  If you are not feeling well, displaying known Covid-19 symptoms, have been in close contact with a positive case, then please do not attend.

Club tents can be located near to the Netley gazebo at the Manor farm car park.  The nearest plotted What3Words coordinates for this will be trap.robots.squashes.  Please note, if you are parking in Barnfields car park, it will be ~ 15-minute walk to the tents area.

We hope you enjoy race day!

Date Change – now 30th Jan 2022

The date for the race organised by Romsey has been altered to 30th Jan 2022 (previously 23rd Jan). Also the venue will be Roundhill campsite – albeit a different course to the race organised by Hardley yesterday, The race schedule page has been updated to reflect this change.

We look forward to seeing lots of you there !
