Well, the weather held true to form and gave us a wet day! Moreover, the grassy areas of the course were saturated and boggy, providing some ‘proper’ cross-country conditions for us on the day!
244 turned out to represent their clubs over this 7.1km, 2 lap course.
Leading the men home was Jack England of Winchester Fit Club, closely followed by fellow Wintonian Adrian Faulty for Winchester Running Club. Henry Lloyd Williams rounded oout the top-3 for Lymington Triathlon Club.
On the ladies side, another strong performance for Caitlin Peers saw her take her second win of the season for Southampton Triathlon Club, followed by Winchester Running Club’s Eleanor Swire and Hardley Runners’ Poppy Tanner in 3rd.
Top scoring teams were Winchester Fit Club on the men’s side, taking their 6th Win of the season and making it a clean sweep. Winchester & District AC’s ladies had a another strong turnout, resulting in their 3rd win of the season.
A huge thankyou to Eastleigh Running Club, Hedge End Running club and Itchen Spitfires Running Club for organising and hosting todays race.
