Thanks to Eastleigh for hosting probably the last cc6 race at Manor Farm as looks likely the race will transfer next year to Fleming Park and apologies to everybody caught out by the new parking charges at Manor Farm as they were only introduced this week and we had no advance warnings.
Plenty of smiling, cheerfull marshals out today on a boggy course and well done to Felix Jaffe from Southampton and Karen Barton from Team Southampton who took individual honours. Hardley won today’s team event for the men and Winchester narrowly beat Team Southampton in the ladies race.
Numbers were up for todays race (114) but still well down on what we were seeing at the start of the season.
Overall, congratulations to Paul Bennett from Wessex who just edged Mike Elmes from Totton for the male series win and to Sonia Rushby from Eastleigh who wrapped up the ladies title after race 5.
Halterworth took the male team honours, beating Winchester and Hardley and Eastleigh the ladies from Team Southampton and Totton.
Hopefully the full series results will be posted before next weekend.
And finally, hope you all enjoyed this seasons series and thanks to all who organised the races and all who gave up their time to marshal.
