Race 6 report: Badger Farm

Race 6 of the season saw 190 runners turn out to represent their clubs and compete over this 7.4k course. Well done everyone and especially to those who also raced the HCCL fixture the previous day.

Despite the seemingly never ending rain, the course was in good condition other than a few small muddy patches. With over 150m of elevation gain and descent it’s tough on the legs, but I heard lots of comments on how much everyone enjoyed it!

Leading the men home was William Feline of Stubbington Green, with Daniel Parker-Hales of Hardley in 2nd and Daniel Latham of Chandler’s Ford Swifts in 3rd. Caitlin Peers lead the ladies home with Tina Christmann in 2nd, both for Southampton Triathlon Club, followed by Poppy Tanner of Hardley Runners in 3rd.

Top scoring teams were Stubbington Green’s Men and Southampton Triathlon Club’s Ladies, both taking their first wins of the season!

A huge, huge thank you to Winchester fit club, Winchester RC, Southampton AC, Solent Running Sisters and WADAC for putting on a fantastic event for us this morning. Great range of cakes – the vegan chocolate cookies were 🔥

Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks time at our final race of the season!
